I spent my half hour at the Husky Lounge. Food here is like take out. People usually come in here when they want to bring their meals back to their dorm. There is a bagel, fried food, and pizza stations. The bagel and fried food station is the busiest. Although the lines are long, there is not many people are sitting at the tables. That has to do with the fact that people prefer to come here over the commons, because you can leave with your food. The Husky Lounge isn’t a quite space where people study. People are talking in line with their friends or, for some few sitting at the table talking to friends.
What I observed at the Husky Lounge suggests that college life is very rushed and busy. Most students who come in are looking for quick meal to to their dorm. Not everyone has tome to sit down and relax and enjoy a meal with his or her friends.
